    Hello and welcome to my site. I’m really glad you’re here!

 

    Artist statement:

   

    My work as a composer is primarily concerned with exploration, experimentation, and subversion of expectations. Ultimately, my goal is to search out modes of sonic expression that allow me to communicate my creativity and imagination in as many new ways as possible. With that goal in mind, I make it a point to study as many different compositional styles and approaches as possible, and to take an analytical approach to music listening. At the same time I am fascinated by the effects that music can have in terms of embodying emotions, stirring up memories, and revealing connections that can't be described by words.

    My musical language is an amalgamation of techniques including: set theory, serial/algorithmic composition, and free atonal improvisation. I am inspired by the ongoing and ever evolving new music scene, and I am excited by the prospect of contributing to the incredible patchwork of composers working today to expand the possibilities of the musical arts.
